With essential ingredients from both your garden and kitchen you can create endless beauty formulas.
We love a good anklet and can't wait to add the trend to our jewelry wardrobe this season. Making sure that your skin is prepped for summer sandal + ankle weather comes first and it's as easy as gathering from your garden or reaching for the pantry. Chances are you already have a combination of ready-to-use ingredients that you could whip up a "get glowing" scrub within 5 minutes. And the combinations are endless!
Here are the basics for your homemade scrub:
-Exfoliant: Salt, sugar, ground coffee, baking soda, or oats.
-Liquid: Coconut Oil, honey, milk, yogurt, or lemon juice. You could also recycle your tea leaves or ground coffee.
-Extras (but not necessary): Fresh sprigs of herbs or flower petals from your garden. Essential oils, or basics from the pantry such as turmeric, vanilla, or powdered cocoa.
Citrus can be a refreshing ingredient with the use of the outer skins for an exfoliant as well as the yummy fruit to whip into your scrub recipe.
Once you've chosen your simple ingredients, mix together and test a few combinations to create your favorite recipe that will help you achieve a healthy glow.
Experimenting is half of the fun and with so many options you'll be ready to shine in no time!

It's no wonder that sales increase when we return from a jewelry show, because we really put our heart into hand picking each piece and bringing it home. Yes, sometimes it's hard to let go, but we don't always.
Finding new designers and manufacturers isn't always easy, but when we do, it's like meeting long lost family or making a new best friend. The jewelry you wear should be an expression of your personal style, and finding a designer that understands your style, is like hitting the fashion lottery.
Again this year, I visited Bijorhca, an exclusive jewelry show in Paris, France, and I wanted to share some of my experience with you!

]]>I recently had a conversation with my friend Sally about what jewelry we take with us when we travel.
First of all, I love cute, small, padded travel pouches, but recently I received a very nice and compact jewelry travel wrap that is just perfect! I love that it has separate compartments for earrings and necklaces, that zip closed and its small enough to stash in my purse or leave in a hotel safe.
Personally, I don't travel with my favorite pieces and prefer to keep my accessories to a minimum when I'm away from home. My philosophy is that I just don't want to take the chance, and I don't want to have to worry about it.
Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't leave the house without wearing jewelry, so of course, I take some things with me when I go on a trip, but I'm selective. I have a few standard travel pieces. Depending on where I'm traveling to, and what clothes I pack, so I don't always take the same things.
My regular travel jewelry includes a pair of inexpensive (but still classy looking) pearl earrings, a long freshwater pearl strand, and my go to gold bangles. I try to pack so that I have options, so I also like to bring at least two pairs of fun earrings to wear in the evening, along with a necklace that I'll wear all the time, and a long necklace or two to mix it up.
Again, all of this might vary a bit, depending on where we are going, and how long we are away, but the bottom line is the same: keep it simple.
]]>Why would you shop with us?
That's something I have asked myself quite a few times, and there is always more than one valid answer.
I know there are so many options for shoppers, and we are so flattered when customers choose to shop at Lindy's. It doesn't matter if it's an inexpensive pair of silver earrings or a badass diamond engagement ring, it's always nice to know that customers picked us!
One reason that customers repeatedly tell us they love us is because we have such a unique product, and we consider ourselves more of a boutique jewelry store. We go out of our way to buy from designers that aren't represented elsewhere in our area and we hand pick everything that goes in the shop.
Not only do we sell different things that you won't find just anywhere, but we try to buy items for the store within a variety of price points. There is always something for every budget, in a myriad of styles.
The biggest reason you should shop with us, instead of them, is because all of us here at Lindy's are great personal shoppers. We love helping you find just the right gift for a loved one or bring together the look that you are trying to achieve with your jewelry wardrobe. We strive to be the store where you know you will always find something you need!
